Elimu Ya Kenya (EYK) is a registered non-profit organization dedicated to helping needy children, youth, and women in the coastal communities of Kisauni, Mombasa. Our flagship project is Elimu Ya Kenya School – a lamp in the darkness for vulnerable children.
Elimu ya Kenya (EYK) was founded in 2007 by a group of friends passionate about education and charity. Officially registered in May 2008 under the Societies Act, EYK is a charity organization dedicated to helping vulnerable children access education and build the foundation for a decent future. The organization's mandate is to raise funds and support educational initiatives across Kenya. It is also dedicated to fostering educational development, supporting teachers, and championing improved learning outcomes.
Since its inception, EYK has been a beacon of hope for vulnerable children, youth, and women in the coastal communities of Kisauni, Mombasa. Our flagship project, Elimu Ya Kenya School, was established with support from Education4Kenya (Germany). Today, we serve 370 children through our school, in addition to supporting hundreds more through scholarships, vocational training, and empowerment programs.
