Elimu Ya Kenya (EYK) is a registered non-profit organization dedicated to helping needy children, youth, and women in the coastal communities of Kisauni, Mombasa. Our flagship project is Elimu Ya Kenya School โ a lamp in the darkness for vulnerable children.
Elimu ya Kenya (EYK) was founded in 2007 by a group of friends passionate about education and charity. Officially registered in May 2008 under the Societies Act, EYK is a charity organization dedicated to helping vulnerable children access education and build the foundation for a decent future. The organization's mandate is to raise funds and support educational initiatives across Kenya. It is also dedicated to fostering educational development, supporting teachers, and championing improved learning outcomes.
Since its inception, EYK has been a beacon of hope for vulnerable children, youth, and women in the coastal communities of Kisauni, Mombasa. Our flagship project, Elimu Ya Kenya School, was established with support from Education4Kenya (Germany). Today, we serve 370 children through our school, in addition to supporting hundreds more through scholarships, vocational training, and empowerment programs.
Develop an enabling environment for the realization of educational goals, respect and protection of fundamental basic rights of children, youth, and women, and to nurture their abilities thus make them active contributors to society.
To contribute to the education of children, youth, and women both financial and material in order to build a better world where people are educated, happy, and self-fulfilled, and play a constructive role in society.
To contribute in improving the living standard of the vulnerable communities of Bombo through education, community mobilization, capacity building, advocacy, and strengthening institutions at the grassroots level.
