Empowering Communities Through Education Since 2007
Elimu ya Kenya (EYK) was founded in 2007 by a group of friends passionate about education and charity. Officially registered in May 2008 under the Societies Act, EYK is a charity organization dedicated to helping vulnerable children access education and build the foundation for a decent future.

Our flagship project, Elimu Ya Kenya School, was established with support from Education4Kenya (Germany). The safety of all our children is paramount. We make this clear to all our staff members and volunteers.
We treat every donation as a sacred trust and all funds go directly to programs they were intended for.
We work with communities, not for them. Parents, local leaders, and teachers have a voice in our decision-making.
Our goal is to equip children and families with skills and confidence to break the cycle of poverty permanently.
We act with honesty and transparency in every decision, ensuring donor funds reach the children who need them most.
We openly share our financial status, progress, and challenges with our partners, supporters and stakeholders.
We provide equal opportunities to education regardless of gender, religion, ethnicity, or family background.
We champion equal opportunities for girls and boys, women and men, in all our programs and leadership.
We meet every child where they are, with patience, kindness, and a genuine commitment to their wellbeing.
Contact us via email or phone, and we will guide you through the process. You can choose a child and support their education, meals, and uniforms.
Donations go directly to scholarships, school meals, teacher salaries, infrastructure, and empowerment programs. We are transparent about our finances – just ask!
